We're thrilled to share our success at the 2025 Architizer Vision Awards. Each recognized project reflects our commitment to capturing architectural vision through thoughtful collaboration and unexpected moments of beauty.
As Architizer noted in announcing the results:
"This is an unparalleled honor. With entries from over 50 countries, your work truly represents the best of architectural representation worldwide. The Vision Awards Jury Winner is selected by our illustrious jury, comprising architects and designers, photographers, and videographers."
This year, our studio was honored with one win and two finalist placements:
Winner — Interior Rendering: The StandardX Hotel
Finalist — Interior Rendering: Laminex "Next Generation Woodgrains"
Finalist — Exterior Rendering: South Yarra House
The StandardX Hotel — Winner, Interior Rendering
This entryway image embodies the playful sophistication of The StandardX Hotel Melbourne, with interiors by Hecker Guthrie. We were engaged by Deal Corporation to bring The StandardX's marketing vision to life.
This spontaneous angle emerged during a collaborative shoot with photographer Shannon McGrath. The iconic red cylindrical portal creates a bold architectural gesture, while a single, solitary chair adds an element of surprise — a detail that embodies Hecker Guthrie's signature approach and has become a studio favourite, exemplifying the unexpected beauty that comes from creative collaboration.
Laminex "Next Generation Woodgrains" — Finalist, Interior Rendering
This rendering for Laminex Australia, created for the "Next Generation Woodgrains" campaign, showcases the sophisticated interplay between varied timber tones and textures — celebrating a material fundamental to Australian residential architecture.
Working alongside photographer Shannon McGrath and CJH Studio's careful styling curation, this project exemplifies our approach to working with product manufacturers: bridging product capability with design ambition through minimal intervention and maximum spatial impact.
South Yarra House — Finalist, Exterior Rendering
This rendering celebrates SJB's masterful façade design, where traditional brickwork meets contemporary expression. Working with Wattletree Property and photographer James Newman, we captured a vision that honours NYC brownstone heritage while expressing contemporary design principles.
The stepped brick configuration creates rich shadow play and textural depth, achieving a timelessly established aesthetic through our considered, cerebral design approach.
Thank you to Architizer, our collaborators, and the incredible teams behind each of these projects for making this recognition possible.
